POSTER CONTEST
All children in grades K-5 are eligible to enter a poster promoting reading. The event is operated through the elementary schools/Umpqua Reading Council.

RHS PERFORMANCE THEATER LITERACY PLAYS
An original play depicting the importance of reading will be performed by the Drama department. Performances will be at 1:00 p.m. in the Rose Theatre at Roseburg High School. (see Master Events Chart for times and locations.)

MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKER PROGRAM FOR MIDDLE SCHOOLS
The COL committee is excited to announce Rachel Scdoris as our speaker this year. Rachel has been legally blind since birth, yet followed her dream and became a Dog Sled Racer, even competing in the Alaskan Iditarod. Her story is one of inspiration, dreams, and goal setting.

READINGS BY HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
Students at Roseburg High School will read their personal essays or poetry at an evening meeting. The Noon Rotary Club will be meeting at Linus Oakes Retirement Center, Tuesday, February 21, 2012.
